Following an explosive trailer for the upcoming season of Vanderpump Rules, Lala Kent is claiming she’s not jealous of Ariana Madix and that her comments in the trailer were “taken out of context.” She also spent a portion of her time on her Amazon Live show discussing how she feels about Ariana Madix recently landing a big gig on Broadway, saying that she’s “always been a fan” of her co-star and that she’s “so proud of her.”

Lala Kent threw shade at Ariana Madix in the new Vanderpump Rules trailer

The explosive season 11 trailer for the new season of Vanderpump Rules features all the drama viewers are expecting from the series as it picks up right where the last season’s reunion left off: the midst of the “Scandoval” scandal that took over the cast and fandom when it was revealed that Tom Sandoval had cheated on long time girlfriend Ariana Madix with co-star Raquel (now Rachel) Leviss.

In the trailer, a clip shows a dramatic scene in which Lala Kent, referring to Ariana Madix, yells, “I’ve never experienced someone who gets cheated on and suddenly, she becomes God.”

Despite having such strong words for her in the trailer, she used her Wednesday Amazon Live show to defend herself and said that the clip was “taken out of context.” Giving viewers a massive case of whiplash, she went on to clarify how she feels about Ariana Madix and share her thoughts on her Vanderpump Rules co-star’s massive career moves.

When discussing the fact that Ariana was recently cast as Roxy Hart in a production of Chicago, Lala said, “The girl can dance, the girl has pipes, the girl can act,” and said she “deserves everything that is coming her way.”

On why the clip was reportedly “taken out of context” to make it look like she has a problem with Ariana Madix, Lala Kent defended the latest Vanderpump Rules trailer by saying:

"That’s what the trailer is meant to do. It riled everyone up, everyone is talking about the trailer, everyone is giving their feedback, people are arguing in the comments section — that’s what we want. The second no one has an opinion on the television we’re making, we no longer have a show. … My name stays in your mouth. I want Ariana’s name to stay in your mouth. I want you to eat and breathe Vanderpump Rules."

Will Rachel (Raquel) Leviss return to Vanderpump Rules?

According to reports, Rachel (Raquel) Leviss will not be returning for season 11 of Vanderpump Rules. Despite the fact that the season is partially focused on the fallout of the affair she had with Tom Sandoval, she won’t be involved in the new season when it airs.

Instead, the same month that season 11 is set to air, she’s going to be hosting a podcast called Rachel Goes Rogue in which she promises to tell her side of the Scandoval scandal.

Season 11 of Vanderpump Rules begins airing on Bravo TV on January 30, 2024 and each episode will be available on Peacock the day after it airs. Check out the full trailer with all the Scandoval fallout, love triangle drama, and more to see what to expect.
