RHOA‘s Kenya Moore has a lot to celebrate this holiday season, starting with the fact that the divorce she initially filed for in 2021 is officially finalized. The Real Housewives of Atlanta star married her now ex-husband, Marc Daly, in 2017 and the pair welcomed a daughter, Brooklyn, together in 2018. According to a statement Moore made to People, Kenya Moore is ready to move on to the next chapter of her life.

Kenya Moore’s divorce is a long time in the making

After being married for four years, Kenya Moore initially filed for divorce from ex-husband Marc Daly in May 2021.

In January 2023, the Real Housewives star was on an episode of Watch What Happens Live and gave an update about her divorce, saying that she felt like she was going through “the world’s longest divorce” due to how long the process was taking, to which host Andy Cohen quipped that actually, Bethenny Frankel has that title for her long custody battle with her husband.

According to the initial court documents, the pair had been split since 2019 and had been living completely separated since September 2019, nearly two years before the pair officially filed for divorce.

At a BravoCon panel, Kenya Moore promised viewers that she would have her divorce woes settled once and for all before 2024 rolled around and we’re excited to see that she was right!

The future of Kenya Moore’s love life

According to Kenya Moore, the heartbreak of her marriage to Marc Daly failing isn’t going to hold her back from moving on and finding her happily ever after. She ended her statement about her divorce by saying, “As a hopeless romantic, I still believe my forever person exists and know I’ll have my happily ever after ending after all.”

Although Kenya Moore had initially hoped that Marc Daly would be her “forever person,” it became obvious as time went on that the two of them just weren’t meant to be. She told the Tamron Hall Show that being married to Marc Daly left her feeling “stifled” and that she had to be a “certain type of wife” to fit into their marriage.

“That’s not what a marriage is about,” Kenya Moore said about the incompatibility she was feeling and struggling with on The Real Housewives of Atlanta. She added that being on the show didn’t help the fact that they weren’t in the best place in their marriage, saying, “It was a struggle just to work through our differences even during the show. A lot of it was exposed, just how we weren’t getting along or weren’t on the same page.”

She’s not letting her divorce get in the way of finding her forever person. Kenya Moore has stated that she felt ready to date and has even been linked to a new man who she met through Monyetta Shaw-Carter.
