Kate Middleton ‘uninterested’ in friendship with Meghan Markle

British journalist and author Omid Scobie has been dominating the headlines lately with stories coming out about the bombshells in his book, Endgame, that details the inner workings of the royal family. This time, it’s about the fact that despite what Meghan Markle may have been hoping for when she married into the family, her sister-in-law Kate Middleton is reported to be ‘uninterested’ in friendship with her.

According to Scobie’s book, Meghan Markle felt that she and Kate Middleton might have been able to form a special bond due to the fact that both of them were coming from a similar place as outsiders who married into the royal family.

But, Scobie writes that despite the fact that the two of them were in such a unique position that only the other woman could relate to, Kate has been “uninterested in forming this kind of bond with Meghan.”

In Endgame, Scobie describes Kate as “cold” and says that a source told him that Kate Middleton has spent more time “talking about Meghan than talking to her.” This cold side is something that Meghan Markle herself has referenced, according to fans who watched the Netflix series she did with her husband, Harry & Meghan.

On their Netflix series, Meghan Markle once referenced the first time she met her future sister-in-law, Kate Middleton, and talked about the major culture shock she had when the life she was used to clashed with the way the royal family holds themselves.

“When Will and Kate came over and I had met her for the first time, they came over for dinner. I remember I was in ripped jeans and barefoot. Like I was a hugger, always been a hugger. I didn’t realize that that is really jarring for a lot of Brits,” she recalled.

Although the two of them come from a very similar background and have been thrust into a world nothing like where they came from, many people have speculated that there’s tension between Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle.
