Bachelor in Paradise: Aven Jones and Kylee Russell’s massive breakup
By Lacey Womack
While there have been some relationships to come out of Bachelor Nation and find their happy ending, it seems that Kylee Russell and Aven Jones will not be joining the list. Just days after the season finale showed Kyle Russell and Aven Jones leaving the show still together, but not yet engaged, Kylee took to her Instagram story to announce that they had broken up and accused him of “multiple infidelities.” Now, Aven has spoken up and issued a statement of his own on their relationship and breakup.
Kylee Russell and Aven Jones broke up only a day after becoming official
Only one day after Kylee Russell and Aven Jones made their relationship Instagram official, things were over. Kylee posted on her Instgram story announcing that their relationship was over after discovering “multiple infidelities” had come to light and that she was going to be focusing on healing and putting the pieces of her life back together, noting that this is not just TV to her, but her real life. She wrote:
"Following our relationship announcement yesterday, I want to thank my God, he didn’t allow me to live another day in the dark. In the last 24 hours, I have been grasping with the fact that one of the most important relationships in my life dissolved due to multiple infidelities."
This came as a major shock since the two of them had just gone social media official with a photoshoot on their Instagram accounts and had appeared to be one of the strongest couples on the show during their season of Bachelor in Paradise.
Despite being seen as so strong and perfect for each other and despite what Kylee was hoping for, the pair did not get engaged on the show — something that lines up with Aven Jones’ appearance on The Bachelorette where he similarly refused to get engaged on the show’s timeline.
Aven Jones apologized to Kylee Russell a day later
Naturally, Bachelor Nation did not take kindly to Aven Jones being accused of infidelity against Kylee Russell. Fans of Bachelor in Paradise inundated the contestant with critical comments until a day after Kylee’s statement, on December 10, Aven Jones posted an apology statement of his own to his own Instagram story. He wrote:
"I have made major mistakes in the relationship and hurt someone who was very close to me. At this time, I am in an extremely extremely low place trying to work on myself. I am doing my best to find healing, find myself and be a better person. Please have grace and respect for Kylee and her family through this difficult time."
This has been a real whirlwind. The season finale aired, the two announced their relationship, and only two days later, we’ve already seen statements from both halves of the couple about their breakup and the fact that they’re each taking time to heal and move on from the breakup.
Hopefully these Bachelor in Paradise alums are able to work out their differences and move on.
