Kim Zolciak under fire for fake pregnancy announcement
By Lacey Womack
No, despite what Kim Zolciak’s social media posts may have lead her followers to believe, Brielle Biermann is not pregnant.
Original RHOA cast member Kim Zolciak has had a lot of negative attention on her lately. As if the news of her on-again, off-again divorce from Kroy Biermann wasn’t enough, news also broke that the two of them are in hot water with the IRS and reportedly owe the agency over $1 million. Those money issues may have been part of the reason that the two of them filed for divorce in April 2023, an act that the two of them then retracted and eventually filed for again in August 2023.
Online RHOA speculate that the money issues and reported fighting with her soon-to-be ex-husband may have been what inspired Kim Zolciak to make a major social media misstep by implying that her daughter, Brielle Biermann, might be pregnant.
Kim Zolciak’s clickbait blunder
On November 28, Kim Zolciak took to her social media accounts to post a picture of herself and daughter Brielle with an ultrasound that bears her name underneath it. She captioned the photo, “I’M SO EXCITED TO BE A GRANDMA!” Despite what her caption claimed, the link in her bio does not lead to a pregnancy announcement from Brielle and is instead leads followers to an article published in July of 2023 in which Brielle talked about how someday, she thinks her mom will be a “great” grandma to a hypothetical child.
Although Kim Zolciak turned off comments and replies to her posts, it’s safe to say that this move didn’t go over well with fans. Fake pregnancy announcements are generally frowned upon on the internet and this RHOA star has already been getting scrutiny on the internet as it is.
Sometime after posting, the reality TV star gave in to the backlash and deleted any evidence of the posts from her social media accounts.
Unfortunately for her, turning off comments and replies on her posts and deleting them entirely hasn’t been able to stop Housewives fans from commenting on what they call an act of “desperation” and it doesn’t seem like internet users will be letting Kim Zolciak get off easy for this one.
