As the oldest daughter of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, there’s no surprise that North West has had people watching her every move since she was born. Despite only being 10 years old, North West has already got all eyes on her and she’s got some serious plans for her future, stating that she plans to own both SKIMS and Yeezy, her parents’ brands, and that she wants to create art, rap, and play basketball.

Even before she starts on her laundry list of career moves, North West can list Paris Hilton as one of her biggest fans. While speaking to Extra at the red carpet event for GQ’s Men of the Year 2023, longtime friend of Kim Kardashian spoke about her anniversary, her first Christmas as a mom, and what she thinks about North West: that she’s an icon.

Friends before the fame

Even though Kim Kardashian might be a reality TV superstar and successful brand owner in her own right now, there was a time when she wasn’t so well-known. Kim skyrocketed into mainstream fame in 2007 with the premier of her family’s series Keeping Up With the Kardashians, but serious Kardashian fans will know that she had an early reality TV appearance than that! In 2003, she had a cameo on an episode of The Simple Life, the reality series that featured Paris Hilton and her on-again, off-again best friend, Nicole Richie.

Back then, Paris was actually one of Kim’s clients! Always a businesswoman, Kim was running a closet cleaning and organizing business and had been hired by her longtime friend, Paris.

Why Paris Hilton thinks North West is a “future entrepreneur”

Even though North West isn’t quite old enough to run a business the way her parents do yet, that doesn’t stop her from making some of her own money. In mom Kim’s GQ cover story, she said that North will “fully scam” people who come to the lemonade stand that North runs. Kim explained that if a stranger buys lemonade from North, the price is only $2, but if a family friend pays her a visit, North will claim she can’t give them change for a $20 and pocket their cash.

According to Paris, this is just proof that North has what it takes to run a business in the future. While on the GQ red carpet, she said, “I actually used to do that with my sister every summer in the Malibu Colony. We would both do the same thing, so North is a future entrepreneur and I love that, I love her so much.”

All in all, the new mom summed North up with a single word: iconic.
