‘Not everything is shade’: Jordyn Woods Denies Jacket Drama
By Lacey Womack
Did Jordyn Woods just throw some shade at Khloe Kardashian with the new jacket she designed with Karl-Anthony Towns? While social media users think she did, Jordyn has taken to her Instagram story to promise that “not everything is shade” and that the embroidered quote that started it all is one that “we can all relate to at some point.”
Jordyn Woods and Khloe Kardashian have a rocky history
Jordyn Woods initially rose to fame among fans of the Kardashian-Jenner family when she appeared as a model for Khloe’s clothing line, Good American beginning in 2016. Along with modeling, Jordyn made TV appearances in Life of Kylie and Keeping Up With the Kardashians as a friend of the youngest sister of the group, even living with Kylie after being best friends for years.
Unfortunately for their close bond, in 2019, a source alleged that they spotted Jordyn “all over” Tristan Thompson — the on-again, off-again boyfriend of Khloe Kardashian. Followers of the family seemed to get confirmation of the betrayal when social media exploded with tweets, comments, and unfollows.
During Jordyn’s 2019 interview with Jada Pinkett-Smith and Will Smith, she gave a quote about the scandal that went on to appear on the jacket, saying the following:
"I’m no home-wrecker. I would never try to hurt someone’s home, especially someone that I love and has a beautiful daughter. I would never try to steal someone’s man. I don’t need your situation. I really just hurt so many more people by not telling the truth."
Embroidered on the front of the jacket and the clear focus of one shot is the quote, “I don’t need your situation,” taken directly from the Red Table Talk interview. Though Jordyn Woods has reconciled with the Kardashian-Jenner family since the scandal with Khloe Kardashian saying she forgives Jordyn and Kylie Jenner reviving their friendship, internet users were quick to recognize the quote and question whether or not the jacket was shade toward Khloe.
Jordyn Woods responds to the shady accusations
Within only a few hours of posting a preview of the jacket, Jordyn took to her Instagram story to clear things up. “Not everything’s shade, and everything’s not that deep,” she wrote and gave a nod to the Timberwolves player that helped her design the jacket for her brand, Woods by Jordyn. “There’s NO shade here, just a quote we can all relate to at some point,” she wrote in another slide on her story while Towns spoke up to explain some of his design inspirations.
