When it comes to the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, one thing is guaranteed: religion is a big aspect of their story. And Lisa Barlow is no exception.

In fact, for some of the ladies of RHOSLC, their Mormonism is also a big part of their storylines and the drama surrounding them. When it comes to Barlow and her family, Season 4 saw the news that Jack Barlow would be postponing college in order to go on a mission.

Not only did we see the conversations around that decision play out, but we also learned where he would be going for his mission – Bogotá, Colombia. However, recently rumors have been swirling that Jack was not in fact on his mission and instead was spotted in California with a name badge alerting people to the fact that he was a missionary.

So what exactly does Lisa Barlow have to say about these rumors? Well, it turns out that she is actually confirming that they are true (sort of).

Lisa Barlow explains why her son Jack was spotted in California instead of Colombia

According to US Weekly, on November 13 Lisa Barlow tweeted about what is really going on with her son’s mission trip. In a very simple tweet, she explained, “His VISA was delayed.”

It absolutely makes sense that something like a VISA might have put a bit of a wrench in Jack’s plans and might have led to him potentially doing part of his mission in the U.S. instead of in a different country.

However, it will be interesting to see what comes of this news and if Jack Barlow really will end up in Bogotá, Colombia to complete his two-year mission after the VISA situation is resolved.

Are you at all surprised that Jack has not made it to Colombia yet? Do you think he will continue his mission there or do you think he will end up staying in California for the full two years? What do you think about the fact that his mission seems to be delayed or at the very least changed from what we learned about in Season 4 of RHOSLC?
