Teresa Giudice and her daughters slammed over Shein collaboration
When you think of Teresa Giudice of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, a lot comes to mind. But did you know she and her daughters have partnered with Shein on a new line of clothing?
Recently, Shein revealed that the Giudice ladies had an entire collaboration with them in an email featuring Teresa and her daughters wearing pieces from the collection in neutral shades of beige and brown. The categories for the collection include Partywear (which Teresa was the face of), Matching Sets, Earthy Tones, and Sleep/Lounge pieces.
On top of the news of this collection, there was also a discount code released with their name in it. (And we know all about this because we have seen the email that Shein sent out sharing the news.)
And now Teresa Giudice and her daughters are getting slammed on social media for this collaboration.
Teresa Giudice and her daughters partnered with Shein for a glam collaboration
According to Page Six, while there were plenty of fans who congratulated the Giudice ladies for their partnership, there were still others who took the time to express their disappointment in this decision. As those fans pointed out, Shein has been in hot water over “copying work of other designers,” as well as unethical business practices.
Comments from those slamming the ladies also pointed out that Shein is a fast fashion brand which also means that the clothes are not considered to be of high quality, with one commenter saying,
"Cheap, tacky clothes, made off the slave labor industry. Seems EXACTLY like the type of business youd [sic] associate with. Very on brand."
Still, another comment on Teresa Giudice‘s social media post about the collaboration says, “Why Shein tho? One of if not the most problematic line of clothes there is. I guess the shoe fits.” Others pointed out the environmental impact that Shein has on the planet and still more were disappointed in the message that this sends to Teresa’s daughters.
It is clear that many people are not happy with Teresa Giudice and her daughters working with Shein and promoting their products. And yet, there were still plenty of comments that were more on the positive side, with people saying that they love to see Teresa winning and how they will be giving the brand a try in order to snag a piece or two from the collection.
It should be interesting to see if this collaboration is a one-off thing or if the ladies will continue to work with Shein in the future.
