It’s the end of a love story that we didn’t see coming. Jodie Turner-Smith has filed for divorce from Joshua Jackson citing irreconcilable differences.

After four years married and five years together, Jackson and Turner-Smith are parting ways. And it is the kind of news that has absolutely shocked us. Considering these two were just seen together at the beginning of September, when they attended “the unveiling of the new fully-electric Lotus Emeya on September 07, 2023 in New York City,” it is hard to believe that just a few weeks later they would be getting divorced.

And that Sept. 7 outing wasn’t even the last time they were actually spotted together, as they were also seen on September 9 celebrating the actress’ 37th birthday. That being said, the two were apart for recent outings, including the Albie Awards, where it was just the actress in attendance.

According to People Magazine, in the filing, Jodie Turner-Smith has asked for joint, 50/50 custody of their three-year-old daughter. Beyond the custody request and the fact that the actress is citing irreconcilable differences, we really do not know much more about this latest celebrity split.

It is sad to see Joshua Jackson and Turner-Smith ending things as they have always looked and sounded incredibly in love with each other. They have often talked about feeling lucky that they had found each other, and in an interview back in 2021 the actress expressed this feeling by saying, “I think it’s really beautiful to be with someone who is so supportive and so loving.”

We are definitely saddened by this news, and hopefully, these two are able to at least part ways amicably so that they are able to at least raise their daughter as friends.
