If you haven’t been living under a rock, you’ve likely had an encounter or two with Taylor Swift fans. Some call them Swifties.

These fans are absolutely insane. If you don’t like one of her songs — keep it to yourself around a Swifty or prepare to be crucified. These fans will stop at nothing to prove their adoration for Taylor Swift.

This week, her fans are causing absolute chaos for another celebrity’s memoir. Confused? Allow me to elaborate.

Taylor Swift fans think an anonymous memoir belongs to her, unleashing chaos on another celebrity’s book

On July 9th, a memoir will be released by a publisher called Flatiron. This memoir, as promised by the publisher, comes from a celebrity with “global appeal” and is being compared to memoirs by Matthew Perry and Prince Harry.

Why do people think this is Taylor Swift’s book?

There are plenty of really conspiracy-y reasons to go over but my personal favorite revolves around the page count. The book has 544 pages and guess what Taylor Swift’s lucky number is?

No, it’s not 544. Not 5. Not 4. Not. 44.

You have to do a little bit of math to get there. If you add 5 + 4 + 4, you get 13. That’s her lucky number.

The book is currently listed on Amazon as “4C Untitled Flatiron Nonfiction Summer 2023. On Amazon’s book sales chart, the memoir rose as high as No. 2. On Barnes and Noble’s pre-order chart, the book took over the No. 1 spot.

This all came crashing down, however, when Variety reported that “for certain this mystery author is not, as rumored, Taylor Swift.” Then came the fall.

The books quickly plummeted on both lists – it has completely fallen off of Amazon’s book sales chart. It is still listed at No. 2 on Barnes and Noble’s pre-order chart but many smaller booksellers have completely cancelled all pre-orders.
