Cole Sprouse recently called his brother, Dylan Sprouse, a “bully.”

If you are in your twenties right now, you’re probably familiar with “The Suite Life of Zack and Cody,” a show that ran from 2005-2008. If you include the spin-off, which featured the same twins with a slightly different supporting cast through 2011.

The show was a huge success and, if you’re my age, a gigantic part of many peoples’ childhoods. The show featured a pair of twins. In real life, their names are Cole Sprouse and Dylan Sprouse.

And despite disappearing for a while, both actors re-emerged in different ways as they got older. By the way, they just both turned 30 in August of 2022 — I bet that makes you feel old.

Why did Cole Sprouse call his brother a bully?

Before you get too worried, these two have a perfectly fine relationship. Cole Sprouse calling his brother a bully wasn’t the diss that you probably think it is.

After calling his brother Dylan a bully on the “Call Her Daddy” Podcast, Cole went on to explain how is brother and him have had an extremely close-knit relationship for their entire lives. This exact phrasing was never used, but it seems like the two are each other’s best friends. They’ve had similar life paths, lived together, and even attended the same university in NYU.

So why did Cole call Dylan a “bully?”

The topic was brought up when Cole was diving into the twins’ childhood. He mentioned that they did not have a normal childhood by any means, being homeschooled most of the time due to acting jobs at ages as young as a single year old. They’d go to a normal school for stretches of their life, but never permanently.

This is where Cole Mentioned that his brother Dylan was “a huge bully,” adding that Dylan would beat up other kids. He referenced the fact that the writers for Suite Life of Zack and Cody took cues from the duo’s real-life personalities. Cole, who played the more sensitive, nerdy twin, was a more empathetic, apologetic person in real life. Dylan was. . . well, more of a bully.

It was hard to tell if he was joking but Cole went on to say that his brother may still not be fine with it, elaborating by saying “I think he’s still got stuff to work out.”

Either way, this is actually somewhat of a wholesome moment for those who were fans of Suite Life of Zack and Cody. You always picture that stars of shows that you like are very similar to their on-screen personalities.
