Euphoria’s Jacob Elordi considered to play next James Bond: Details here

Euphoria‘s Jacob Elordi, 24, is reportedly being considered to play the next James Bond after producers became privy to his superb acting talents and his dashing looks.

Variety reports No Time to Die producer Barbara Broccoli is deeply thinking about who can play the new Bond after Daniel Craig, the star of the spy franchise films for the past 15 years, stepped away from the role, and after Lashana Lynch became the first-ever female Bond back in 2021.

According to the publication, Broccoli is considering Idris Elba, Tom Hardy, and Henry Cavill to play the beloved role. In addition to these Hollywood greats, Jacob Elordi’s name is included in the mix, making her decision that much harder.

“It’s going to take some time,” Barbara Broccoli told Variety. “It’s a big decision. It’s not just casting a role. It’s about a whole rethink about where we’re going. I’m just here celebrating one of the greatest actors on the planet, Daniel Craig.”

Filling the shoes of the legendary Daniel Craig certainly won’t be an easy task. Nevertheless, fans are determined to convince Broccoli that Jacob Elordi is the right choice.

Fans want Jacob Elordi to play James Bond

Upon hearing the announcement that the search for the next James Bond has officially begun, fans took to Twitter to react to the exciting news that Jacob Elordi is in the running.

“I would love to see Jacob Elordi as James Bond,” one Twitter user stated. “It will be wonderful to see him transition from playing high school boy to James Bond.”

Elordi’s role as football star Nate Jacobs in Euphoria gave him recognition on a large scale. Many couldn’t help but praise him for his portrayal of a character who is both parts menacing and charming, hence why they believe this Australian actor is a shoo-in for the Bond role.

A few fans had different suggestions about who they think should play the role. Unbroken‘s Jack O’ Connell and Game of Thrones‘ Richard Madden, to name a few. However, one choice stood above the rest–Regé-Jean Page, the breakout star of Netflix’s Bridgerton.

“If Regé-Jean Page is still in the running, and ends up being the new James Bond, I predict Beyoncé will do the theme song and finally win an Oscar,” another Twitter user stated. “My spidey senses is tingling.”

Only time will tell who will become our next James Bond. Will it be Jacob Elordi? Or will it be Regé-Jean Page? Will it be someone else entirely different? Stay tuned to find out what decision is made in the end.
