Temporary retirement seems to have favored Tom Brady well. Don’t believe me, can I direct you to the guns on the 44-year-old Tampa Bay quarterback?

On Feb. 1, 2022, Brady seemed ready to walk away from football and announced his retirement from the game after 22 seasons and seven Super Bowl titles to his name. It looked like No. 12 was finally ready to move on to the next chapter of his life… until just over a month later when on March 13 he announced his decision to return for a 23rd season to be played with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

While Brady’s retirement lasted all of a hot minute, it seems the NFL legend made good use of the brief retirement. Not only did he manage to line up a new starring role in the upcoming comedy 80 For Brady starring Jane Fonda, Sally Field, Rita Moreno and Lily Tomlin, but it seems Brady has been hitting the gym hard as evident by the 7-time Super Bowl champ’s latest Instagram selfie!

Tom Brady flexes for the cameras, showing off jacked arms

To celebrate his first day on the set of 80 for Brady, Brady showed off his guns as he flexed his jacked arms for the camera to commemorate the “exact moment Tom Brady went Hollywood.”

Having a bit of fun with the post, Brady tagged Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson in the post telling Johnson he was free until August if he was in need of a stunt double in the meantime. The comment was enough to catch the attention of Johnson who told Brady he was “Looking like a specimen brother!”

Self-deprecating humor aside, Brady has every reason to celebrate the incredible shape he’s currently in which definitely could explain his decision to come out of retirement. Given the shape he’s in, we definitely wouldn’t be surprised to see Brady playing in the NFL for several more seasons to come.

And if things don’t work out in his final seasons, we’re pretty sure Hollywood will come calling once again!
