RHONJ: Teresa Giudice is a ticking time bomb with a heart

From flipping tables to threatening lives, Real Housewives of New Jersey self-proclaimed queen Teresa Giudice has unleashed her anger on the reality show throughout the years in a way that should have anyone thinking twice about becoming her enemy.

Whether right or wrong, Giudice has shown deep passion when it comes to protecting her family or the man in her life.

Lately, it has been in defending current boyfriend Louie Ruelas who has a shady past…at least when it comes to RHONJ castmates, mainly Margaret Josephs who was the recipient of Giudice’s latest rage.

While the feud is the talk of the season, fellow castmate Dolores Catania, who is a longtime friend of Teresa Giudice understands her gal pal and sees her as someone who has been through a lot when it comes to relationships and that rage she expresses is shielding something deeper, a woman who’s heart has been battered.

"“(Teresa) was married to somebody who was very hard on her, never a kind word, never a kind touch,” Catania said of Joe Giudice.  “Here comes Louie (Ruelas, her new boyfriend.). He’s patting her head, this is fthe first time.  I’ve taken dogs out of the shelter.  They’ll do anything for you if you treat them right.  That’s how I picture her life.  Here’s the guy who came and saved her.”"

Now, it may seem a bit harsh to compare the Real Housewives of New Jersey star to a sheltered dog, but the analogy isn’t that far off if you are a viewer who has watched the show over the years.

In raising four daughters basically as a single mom, Teresa went through a lot when it came to her ex-husband who she spent time in prison for and had to go through the pain of him being deported back to Italy.  Though it left her as a single parent trying to pick up the pieces he left behind, it did allow her a chance to restart her life, which she has done while facing the embarrassment of their failed marriage in front of the cameras.

But as strong as Teresa Giudice has shown she is, but physically and emotionally, there is a void there in her heart that continuously plays out through her anger.  Whether it’s aimed at Margaret or her own brother and sister in-law, Joe Gorga and Melissa Gorga, there is a sadness there beyond the entertainment value of the Real Housewives of New Jersey current storyline.

If Louie is as shady as Margaret and others suspect, Teresa will have more emotional pain to deal with.  In that respect, it is hard not to feel for her and if it ends up playing out that way, the ticking time bomb that is Teresa Giudice may explode in a way even the reality show may not be ready for.

While it would be good for television, there’s a woman there in need of more support than even she realizes she needs.
