Alex Rodriguez getting his dating game on after striking out with J-Lo

Former New York Yankees slugger Alex Rodriguez is apparently back in the dating game and her name is Kathryne Padgett.

That’s right, A-Rod was seen out with the fitness competitor on several occasions and as recently as April 12 where the two was spotted cruising in his red Porsche.  But is the 46-year-old former athlete simply working out with Padgett or are the two building on a new romance?

Better yet, is Rodriguez trying his best to move on after ex-fiancée Jennifer Lopez announced her engagement to Ben Affleck?

After J.Lo and A-Rod officially became a couple back in 2017, the entertainment queen and highly recognized athlete were trending as a power couple before breaking things off back in March 2021 after nearly two years of being engaged.

In a joint statement, the two claimed while the romance faded, their friendship and business partnership was still very much strong.

"“We have realized we are better as friends and look forward to remaining so,” Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez told E! News in a joint statement.  “We will continue to work together and support each other on our shared businesses and projects.”"

While the two were the cover page of celebrity couples during that span, it appears J.Lo’s heart was with Affleck as the Hustler star waisted almost no time falling back into the arms of her former lover after a failed engagement of their own.

This time around it appears Lopez and Affleck are ready to take that next step, which leaves Rodriguez with no other choice but to move on.  He is certainly making sure it appears that way after being seen out with Padgett just days after the Bennifer engagement was announced.

Speaking of that announcement, Alex Rodriguez was challenged to address the engagement of his former fiancée while covering a Boston Red Sox vs. New York Yankees game on April 10.  A-Rod’s co-host Michael Kay made a subtle nod to the engagement news in while Rodriguez to his credit shook off by talking about the other positive news in the world.

"“It’s a great time in sports,” A-Rod responded during the broadcast.  “You have a new Masters champion, the NBA playoffs are about to start, baseball’s in the full swing, people getting engaged.  I mean it’s a happy time in the world.”"

While it does have to sting that Jennifer Lopez moved on from the former Yankees star to rekindle a relationship with the ultimate Red Sox fan in Ben Affleck, it is good to see he is trying his best to move on, and it appears he is doing so with Padgett.
