Are Dylan O’Brien and Elle Fanning dating? Rumors explained

These days, former Teen Wolf actor Dylan O’Brien‘s relationship status is pretty much a mystery.

Fans are privy to the fact that he was romantically linked to actresses like Chloe Grace Moretz, Sarah Ramos, and Britt Robertson in the past, the latter of which was his longest relationship to date. However, after he and Robertson split in 2018 after dating for six years, he’s been fairly silent on his love life. Hence why his fans are always in the dark about who he’s dating. And now, there’s some gossip about a potential girlfriend in his life.

Instagram gossip blog Deuxmoi received an anonymous tip this week that potentially shed light on Dylan’s love life. The tip stated he and The Girl from Plainville actress Elle Fanning were on a “date” and looked to be very much so entranced by one another.

“Dylan O’ Brien and Ellen Fanning at Wayla in NYC!” the anonymous individual wrote to which the blog replied, “Omg on a date??” The tip then stated, “Looks like it. It’s just the two of them and they look deep in convo.”

Though this individual caught a glance at the celebrities’ mysterious hangout, fans may not have to panic just yet because another comment quickly stepped in to clear up the misunderstanding.

“[Definitely] not a date but they are really good friends. Elle’s ex-bf Max [Minghella] is Dyl’s best friend.” The gossip blog then asked, “Could she be into him tho? EX being the operative word,” to which the commenter replied, “No, they’ve been friends for a long time. I don’t think Elle or Dylan would the line.”

Crossing the line is something Dylan certainly doesn’t want to do as everyone is allegedly “hoping [Elle and Max] will get back together.” The chances of the couple rekindling, though, is anyone’s guess.

Assuming all this information is true, it’s safe to say that Dylan O’Brien is, indeed, still on the market for the time being. Either that or the celebrity is simply keeping his relationship life under wraps until he’s ready to show off his partner to the world.

We’ll have to wait a little longer to see what the future has in store. Until then, we are comforted by the fact the actor is a loving friend who would likely never break the bro code.
