Get the book Bridgerton Season 2 is based on (while it’s available and on sale)
By Elaine Selna
The wait is over, and Bridgerton fans can finally binge the second season of Netflix’s Regency-era romance show. However, if you’re curious about how this new season will compare to the Julia Quinn book it’s based on, The Viscount Who Loved Me, or want to read the source material before diving into the show again, we have good news for you. The book The Viscount Who Loved Me is now on sale on Amazon, just in time for the season premiere today.
Now through Amazon, you can get The Viscount Who Loved Me in paperback for half off at $8. In addition, you can save 25 percent on the hardback edition and 33 percent on the mass-market version. Julia Quinn has even teased on her Instagram that the TV-tie-in cover featuring the characters Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey) and Kate Sharma (Simone Ashley) will be available for pre-order soon.
As fans of the series know, each new book and season spotlights a new Bridgerton sibling’s love story. Both the book and this new season focus on the eldest Bridgerton son, Anthony, on his quest to find his viscountess. However, he’s determined that love cannot be part of the equation to find a suitable wife. This has been alluded to in the trailer for this season but is also a huge theme throughout the book. The Sheffield family, known as the Sharma family in the show to reflect the actors’ Indian heritage, is the newest addition to the ton this season. Edwina Sheffield is the younger sister of Kate Sheffield and has been named the diamond of the first water for this season. Because of this designation, she catches the eye of Anthony. However, each suitor that tries to win Edwina’s heart must first go through her sister Kate. During the book and the show, Anthony must win Kate over in order to pursue Edwina, but Kate wants a love match for her sister, and she’s not sure Anthony can provide that. To discover what happens with this love story, you’ll just have to get your copy of the book and tune into Netflix.
Make sure to head to Amazon to get your copy of The Viscount Who Loved Me while it’s still available and on sale. Also, keep an eye out for the TV-tie-in edition, which will soon be available for pre-order.
