Did Rihanna and other celebs really unfollow Megan Thee Stallion? (And if so, why?)

Is everything okay in the music world, or are people fighting once again? This question seems to be on everyone’s minds as of late as rumor has it, Rihanna and Megan Thee Stallion had a falling out of some sort.

It all started when fans noticed RiRi wasn’t following the “W.A.P.” rapper on Instagram despite the two frequently being in the same social circle. What’s more, people realized that Megan, a former ambassador of Savage x Fenty, had all of her photos deleted from the site even though she was one of the public’s favorite collaborators. And as if this wasn’t bad enough, some of Rihanna’s peers, including Nicki Minaj and Drake, reportedly also unfollowed Megan on Instagram.

Are Rihanna and Megan Thee Stallion friends?

Judging off of their respective Instagram following list, unfortunately, it does appear that Rihanna and Megan Thee Stallion are no longer friends. But why?

A few sources believe Megan allegedly having a romantic connection with Rihanna’s partner, ASAP Rocky, is the main reason for the falling out. However, fans aren’t too convinced this is the case because Megan is totally in love with her boyfriend Pardison Fontaine, and has been since last year. Additionally, fans don’t necessarily see how Megan’s alleged crush would result in multiple celebrities unfollowing the musician. Rather, they believe the 27-year-old’s personality is the true common denominator.

“Meg stay in a lot of drama with [people] and labels. She is the only one who is consistently having this issue,” one Twitter user stated. “She is clearly the problem.”

Fans even went as far as to assume this drama stems from Megan Thee Stallion’s ongoing feud with Tory Lanez, the rapper who shot her in the foot in December 2021. Some are convinced Megan lied about the situation for clout, explaining why many musicians cut ties with her. Of course, as this case is still ongoing, we cannot say with certainty what happened.

The gossip Instagram account @Deuxmoi recently addressed the situation on their Instagram Story, sharing screenshots from fans. One person alleged that ASAP Rocky cheated with Megan, while another said it was simply record label drama coming in between the musicians.
