When McKayla Maroney left an adorable “Hey pretty” underneath Aly Raisman‘s Instagram post, fans of the celebrities were thrilled to know that these two athletes were still the best of friends.
Shortly after the post, it became a common desire to see Aly and McKayla meet up again in real life. After all, they’ve been friends for years, working alongside one another as gymnasts ever since they were super young, so a reunion for the two was certainly long overdue.
Well, it looks our prayers have been heard because these besties took to the ‘Gram to drop a major surprise selfie. Check it out below.
Aly Raisman and McKayla Maroney reunite
Aly Raisman blew fans’ minds this week when she posted a picture of her and McKayla Maroney hanging out again like old times.
“Forever grateful for our friendship & our special bond,” Aly stated in her caption. “My sister forever.”
The two looked super cozy next to each other. Aly wore a fluffy white sweater and a soft grey headband for this reunion. McKayla was a tad more colorful with her fit, choosing to wear a burgundy patterned shirt that went perfectly with her soft makeup.

Fans definitely didn’t hesitate to show their love to these celebrities as they filled Aly’s comment section with very kind sentiments about the two.
“Two very beautiful and very strong ladies!” one comment said while another stated, “You both are amazing women in so many ways!!!! Thank you for being such great role models for all girls!”
Of course, we agree with all the sweet comments, but our favorite has to be the message from McKayla, who not only took to her Instagram also share photos from their reunion but also left some really nice words for her good friend.
McKayla Maroney posted her own heartwarming shoutout to Aly, doting on about how much the two have endured together and also about how their rock-solid friendship that’s been over 10 years in the making isn’t going anywhere any time soon.
With all this love going around, our hearts are definitely filled with joy. We’re super grateful to have Aly Raisman and McKayla Maroney as inspirations in our lives but are even more grateful that these two share an unbreakable bond after all these years.
