When McKayla Maroney left an adorable “Hey pretty” underneath Aly Raisman‘s Instagram post, fans of the celebrities were thrilled to know that these two athletes were still the best of friends.

Shortly after the post, it became a common desire to see Aly and McKayla meet up again in real life. After all, they’ve been friends for years, working alongside one another as gymnasts ever since they were super young, so a reunion for the two was certainly long overdue.

Aly Raisman blew fans’ minds this week when she posted a picture of her and McKayla Maroney hanging out again like old times.

“Forever grateful for our friendship & our special bond,” Aly stated in her caption. “My sister forever.”

The two looked super cozy next to each other. Aly wore a fluffy white sweater and a soft grey headband for this reunion. McKayla was a tad more colorful with her fit, choosing to wear a burgundy patterned shirt that went perfectly with her soft makeup.
