Who is Chase Stokes dating? The Outer Banks star’s relationship status

Our Outer Banks withdrawals get stronger each day, and seeing the forever-handsome Chase Stokes on Instagram from time to time certainly doesn’t help ease our growing anticipation for the Netflix series’ third season. Fortunately, Chase gave us some very much so needed updates about the show, confirming that filming for season 3 has officially begun.

While this update was music to our ears, it suddenly made us realize we didn’t have a juicy update on a burning question the entire OBX fandom has had following a rather unexpected breakup. That question is none other than “Who is Chase Stokes dating?”.

Chase Stokes girlfriend 2022

Based on his Instagram, it seems Chase Stokes is without a significant other as of right now.

The celebrity’s account is void of anything other than pictures showing him having a good time hitting the slopes, or, our favorite, pictures of him spending quality time with his fellow Outer Banks co-stars.

And before you think of it, no, Chase is not dating Madison Bailey. She’s happily taken by her girlfriend Mariah Linney. But, this actor has dabbled in being romantically involved with a different Netflix co-star in the past.

Chase Stokes and Madelyn Cline dating history

In June 2020, Chase Stokes and Outer Banks co-star Madelyn Cline announced in a now-deleted Instagram post that they were going steady.

Much to fans’ delight, not too long after their announcement, the happy couple proceeded to film adorable interviews together including this one from Vogue.

With all these interviews, Chase and Madelyn’s relationship seemed strong, especially as they also would often affectionately post the other on Instagram. However, fans (and ourselves) were slightly taken aback when they learned of the couple’s split in November 2021.

"“Madelyn and Chase are no longer together,” a source told People at the time. “They were trying to work things out privately but broke up a couple of months ago.”"

Unfortunately, this relationship didn’t seem to make it past the two-year mark, with busy schedules and miscommunication being the main reasons why. Even still, the two are good friends and still hang out with one another, outside filming, now and then.

Chase Stokes and Xiomara Montalvo’s dating history

Before dating Madelyn, Chase was in a long-term relationship with his high school sweetheart, Xiomara Montalvo. The two dated for nearly a decade and reportedly called it off sometime in 2020 for undisclosed reasons.

Chase doesn’t speak too much about his relationship with Xiomara, but he did speak about the huge breakup in an interview with The Strategist.

"“I went through a breakup a little bit before quarantine and it was with somebody I’d been with for almost 10 years,” Chase told the outlet. “I’ve been writing about it, drawing inspiration from the isolation of quarantine — there’s a similar kind of heartbreak involved.”"

Following these back-to-back heartbreaks, it’s safe to say Chase is closed off of love for the time being. But then again, it’s fairly possible Chase could be keeping his dating life under wraps, especially given the fact that his previous relationship with Madelyn Cline was super popular amongst the general public.

Perhaps, this time, he wants to keep his love locked down. Or, maybe he is actually single and ready to mingle. Either way, we hope that Chase Stokes is doing A-okay in life and love.
