Gymnast Nastia Liukin gobbles massive pizza
Olympic gymnast Nastia Liukin has been showing off her healthy pizza appetite while in NYC. The 32-year-old five-time Olympic medalist made 2020 headlines for a high-profile anorexia storm – while the star has admitted she’s always been slender, she’s never suggested she doesn’t eat properly, and her latest Instagram post confirmed it’s #pizzaappetite.
Nastia, followed by 1.1 million, updated shortly before Valentine’s Day and from the Big Apple, where there was a little rain, lots of fashion, and some pretty epic pizza, too.

Liukin, who admitted gaining weight after retiring from professional gymnastics aged just 22 in 2012, was showing she’s kept her Gold Medal figure, but likewise that a balanced approach does it for her. The APL collaborator opened all smiles from NYC streets and under an umbrella during a rainy day, with the shot taking in an orange cab. Nastia wore straight leg jeans, a long black coat, plus snazzy white sneakers before showing off a wood-fired pizza with plenty of tomato sauce, herbs, plus a baked crust.
Next up came a bestie moment as Nastia enjoyed some BFF action, with the NYC skyline all lit up at night coming straight after. “Photo dump, NYC edition,” the Moscow native wrote, with gymnast Simone Biles quickly leaving a like. Swipe for the pizza, just scroll for more below.

Nastia has opened up on quitting the beam so young, and how it affected her. Speaking to The Cut in 2019, the blonde revealed:
“I felt so lost for a good year. I gained probably 10 to 20 pounds, because when you stop doing something and just go cold turkey your body doesn’t even know what to do. I finally feel like I’ve found my rhythm again. It takes time to figure out what your body needs and what’s best for you both in nutrition and also fitness.”
Nastia now keeps in shape via boxing, Pilates, yoga, plus outdoor runs with adorable dog Harley. She’s also big-time into spinning. For more, give her Instagram a follow.
