If you’ve been wondering how Rebel Wilson shed off her weight in such a short amount of time, don’t worry, you’re not the only one. We too are intrigued by her health journey and have tons of questions about how we can get on that wave as well.

Ever since the Australian actress marked 2020 as her “Year of Health,” she’s been looking more radiant and more youthful than ever before. But the most amazing change came from within as the celebrity seems much happier than ever before.

This external and internal glow, Rebel believes, is the best outcome of a healthier lifestyle. What’s the secret to achieving both of these? We tell you everything to know, below.

Rebel Wilson’s weight loss regimen

Eating Well reported Rebel Wilson’s secrets to her weight loss journey and you will be absolutely relieved to know that her regimen includes the cheapest workout activity there is–walking.

“An Austrian doctor said ‘Rebel, the best way for you to lose unwanted body fat is just simply walking,'” Rebel shared. “‘[It] doesn’t have to be high-intensity, doesn’t have to be uphill, just moderate walking an hour a day. And if you can do that, for you, for your body type, it’s, like, the best way to lose unwanted body fat.'”

Following her doctor’s advice, Rebel proceeded to go on 32-minute hikes or hour-long walks around her local parks, both of which enabled her to lose weight gradually. Before she knew it, she shed 77 pounds and felt like a much healthier version of herself.

“Sometimes the simplest thing like getting out and walking for an hour a day is the kindest thing to your body,” Rebel Wilson stated. “Your body will respond to that.”

Walking has tons of benefits, including but not limited to strengthening your bones and muscles, enhancing your mood, and increasing your longevity. But the best result you can get from walking, as Rebel said, is the maintenance of your body weight and/or gradual weight loss, so get to walking around your neighborhood to kickstart your journey to a healthier you.

While you are improving your cardiovascular, it’s important to remember Rebel’s most important tip–to stay body positive and encourage yourself at every single step.

In reflecting on her previous worries while losing weight, Rebel shared with Today:

"I was like ‘Oh God, what if I go back to my old habits of eating a whole pint of ice cream because I’m stressed?’. Or reach for the sugar, because that’s what I do when I’m tired and stressed. [But I] didn’t gain back any of the weight. […] I think I’m a little bit shocked, because I was worried. I think everybody who’s struggled with their weight has at times (felt like that). I’ve managed to maintain that for almost a year. It’s just all those lifestyle habits changing."

Keeping your mind healthy is, without a doubt, the most important key in weight loss as the mind has a super important relationship with the body. And now that you know every single free and easy thing to do to become just like Rebel Wilson, all that’s left to do is go out and start today!
