Whenever Kate Beckinsale drops a new photo on Instagram, our days instantly become a whole lot better.

The English actress has given us a fair share of amazing Instagram posts this year including but not limited to photos of her adorable cat, flicks of her friends and family wearing matching pink frilly dresses, and, our personal favorite, videos of the celebrity having a great time with tons of bubbles.

But with her most recent selfie, it seems Kate has taken a break from showing her 5.2 million followers her fun side and is now showing off her serious side. As per usual, we’re absolutely here for it!

Kate Beckinsale took to her Instagram to drop an up-close-and-personal selfie that not only showcases her cute choices in nail color but also showcases all of her natural beauty.

Blue, yellow, and orange manicures along with barely-there makeup are definitely trends we can get behind, and it’s safe to say the many fans in her comments agree, too. However, what caught most fans’ attention was her cross tattoo some have never seen before.

Though the cross tattoo is very real, some fans questioned whether or not it was fake being that this isn’t the first time some ink has suddenly shown up on this celebrity.

Back in September of last year, Kate was pictured with the letter “E” on her wrist. With there being no one in her life (that we know of) whose name begins with this letter, fans wondered if she had a new pet or a secret lover. Eventually, these rumors were later dispelled as it was revealed the tattoo was not about love, rather it was for her career as her upcoming film  Prisoner’s Daughter required her to get a temporary tattoo.

Perhaps she’ll get more tattoos for a project and perhaps she’ll showcase them in yet another up-close selfie. We’ll have to wait to see if this happens, but until then, we’re perfectly fine with this brand new picture of Kate Beckinsale.
