January Jones has been touting the benefits of celery juice as she continues to make headlines for defying her age. The 44-year-old actress has proven a talking point for sharing her super-expensive beauty products via Instagram “shelfies” this year, but it wasn’t La Mer the blonde was name-dropping as she revealed her secrets to Shape.

January opened up to talk health and wellness, and she quickly got to what lands on her plate (and in her belly).

January Jones A Giant Celery Juice Fan

Perhaps refreshing for fans getting a little tired of the $$$ celebs drop on beauty is January being a giant fan of cheap celery juice. While bottled versions might be pricey, buying celery and blending it at home doesn’t cost much. The Mad Men alum revealed:

“Last winter, I started drinking celery juice every day, and I’ve seen amazing results in my energy, digestion, and skin and how I sleep. I have that in the morning, then I take my vitamins and drink coffee. I don’t get hungry until around 10 a.m.” Jones made it clear here that depriving herself isn’t her jam, stating a love of steak and bagels, too.

Post-Pilates, which is about 9.30 a.m., the Hollywood star goes for “a MacroBar afterward” before an early lunch: “usually salad, soup, or a sandwich.” January is a huge Pilates fan, joining celebrity Pilates worshippers including Kourtney Kardashian and gymnast Aly Raisman.

Mentioning son Xander Dane – January hasn’t revealed the father’s identity – she continued:

“I love to cook for my son and me. For dinner, we like salmon with french fries, and we make pasta frequently. We try to have lots of green veggies. We eat organic because I worry a lot about that for my kid. No antibiotics or hormones in meats is really important to me, and so is eating sustainable fish.”
