Carrie Underwood admits ‘flirting’ with this diet
Carrie Underwood has admitted there’s a diet that she “flirts” with. The 38-year-old country singer and workout queen has been opening up on her health and fitness in a fresh interview, one coming not long after she joked about being a “wannabe” vegan. Carrie, who juggles her music career with her CALIA by Carrie clothing line and Fit52 app, has spoken to Shape, and the feature brought plenty of deets on the “Before He Cheats” hitmaker.

Scroll for a photo. The “Cry Pretty” singer is known for her super-healthy lifestyle, including those salad bowls, plus outdoor runs. Carrie addressed being super-busy – the mom of two told Shape:
“I try my best to work in something. I feel blessed to have created an app that is all about working out called fit52, and in it, we try to make even short workouts effective and give people an option to do something instead of nothing. The most important thing is to move. If you do that, and you give what you have, your day will be better for it.”

Then came food talk. The no-nonsense star, who kicks the day off with Ezekiel bread, blueberries, and black coffee, continued:
“I’ve been vegetarian for many, many years and I flirt with veganism, so I’m somewhere in between the two.” She added: “Honestly, I just make sure I’m eating real food. I love vegetables and fruit — and now there are so many options for people that don’t eat meat, but are like meat. Generally, I just try to make good choices and eat real food.”
Carrie has made headlines in the past for talking meat-free, but she admits that husband Mike Fisher still gets his steak. The mom of two has also revealed her favorite indulgence – wine with reality TV. The latest sees mentions of balance, though. Carrie also revealed:
“I actually love doing smoothies for lunch. It’s a combination of post-workout and sometimes it’s also my lunch, cause I’m usually running somewhere and a smoothie is an easy thing to take on the go or in my car.”
