How long have Rihanna and ASAP Rocky been together?

The biggest of all congratulations are in order for Rihanna and her boyfriend ASAP Rocky as the adorable couple is set to welcome their first child together later this year!

The news that RiRi is expecting certainly broke the internet with millions all over the world happy for this mommy-to-be and even happier that she found someone she would love to build a life. But just where did ASAP Rocky come from and how did he manage to steal Rihanna’s heart? We tell you everything to know below.

Rihanna and ASAP Rocky dating history

Before officially going steady in late 2020, Rihanna and ASAP Rocky moved in the same circles for nearly a decade. After all, the two are huge pioneers in the fashion world and are also both respected artists in the music industry. The latter of which brought them together to collaborate on a remix of Rihanna’s song “Cockiness (I Love It)” in 2012.

Shortly after this, it seems the two continued their friendship, having no romance budding between the two as they were both dating their own respective partners. For Rihanna, she had a boyfriend of three years inHassan Jameel who she dated from 2017 to 2020, and for ASAP Rocky, he had a fair share of partners that included Chanel Iman (2012-2014), Tahiry Jose (2014-2017) and Kendall Jenner (2016-2017).

Eventually, the two broke it off with their respective partners. Not too long after, we saw the two begin to publicly hang out and take each other as dates to several awards ceremonies including the 2019 British Fashion Awards.

A month later, Harper’s Bazaar reports, rumors of the two’s budding romance circled for many months at the beginning of 2020 and were only further magnified when the pair dropped a stunning FENTY skincare photoshoot together.

Though the two never outright confirmed their relationship, we then received not one but two adorable videos from them courtesy of Vogue.

By this time, in late 2020, Rihanna and Rocky became a solid couple. The rapper eventually went on to state that Rihanna was “the love of his life” and definitely “the one.” It goes without saying Rihanna felt the same sentiments as the two continued their relationship all the way to this very day, hand in hand.
