Madelyn Cline friend zoned by rumored boyfriend Zack Bia

Just when things seemed to be heating up between Zack Bia and Outer Banks actress Madelyn Cline, Bia has broken his silence on his relationship status and we have to confess we’re a bit surprised by his stance.

To recap, rumors began to swirl that Cline and Bia had begun seeing one another back in December 2021 shortly after Cline’s breakup with her Outer Banks costar Chase Stokes. At the time, the pair were spotted out and about on several occasions including basketball games and dinners in the LA area.

While it appeared things were hitting up between the pair, in a new interview, Bia seemed to put Cline in the friend zone as a means to dispel dating rumors circulating.

In a recent interview with the BFFs with Dave Portnay and Josh Richards podcast, Zack Bia seemed to shut down rumors that he and Cline have entered into a romantic relationship telling the podcast they are “not dating.”

As if to help make sure there was no room for interpretation, Bia further expanded upon his stance in telling the hosts that while they enjoy hanging out and getting dinner together from time to time, there is nothing between the pair romantically.

"“I think as someone like herself who is extremely busy and is going to start traveling — she’s on set five months out of the year — she has such a busy schedule and I think I have such a busy schedule. It is one of those things where we really enjoy hanging out and enjoy going to dinner. But we never officially started dating and probably will never officially stop because we are just hanging out. We are enjoying it and not even thinking about what it is.”"

Although the comments could very likely be a way of throwing the press off their trail, we have to admit his statements definitely seem to put Cline in the friend zone. As for whether she stays there or ever truly was in the friend zone, remains to be seen.
