Dua Lipa posing outdoors in the British winter while bikini-clad and in furry Santa boots proved popular on Instagram, but the Grammy-winning singer didn’t win everyone over as she ushered in Christmas this year. Photos of the “Levitating” songstress quickly circulated the press as she stripped down for some festive fun, with a bah-humbug approach clearly manifesting as users on The Daily Mail shaded her.

Showing off a luxurious countryside retreat as she chills out over the holidays, the “Prisoner” hitmaker highlighted her killer abs and quite a tan, also wearing white and furry Moon boots – the footwear came complete with red laces, plus cute snowmen detailing.

Snapped at night, Dua threw out her tongue, although the gallery also included photos indoors, plus a cheeky thong rear shot. “JOLLY GOOOOOD,” the star wrote with an Xmas tree emoji.

Over 5 million likes were left in a day, but it was a different story as fans threw shade on The Daily Mail. Over 500 users liked a comment suggesting Dua is “desperate” as they slammed her for being “in your knickers in the UK in the middle of winter.” Others, meanwhile, called Lipa “trashy” – this singer tends not to wind up on trashy celeb lists. If anything, the opposite.

“Why do all these people keep showing pictures of their backsides?” a further user chimed in. The Oxfordshire-set photos did, however, garner praise. One fan wrote: “Each generation produces one female artist that stands the test of time. Aretha Franklin, Madonna, Lady Gaga. Could Dua Lipa be the one for this generation? Who else is there?”

Still, some seemed on the fence – “She is talented and has good songs,not that she needs all this..But she is young and attractive and bet her management is thinking this kind of promotion is good for her career,” one fan pondered.
