Lili Reinhart is shouting out Shrek and doing it bikini-style. The “Riverdale” actress is fresh from showing off both her fierce swimsuit body and her sense of humor in an Instagram story, one bringing her in a skimpy green two-piece and shouting out one of the cartoon cinematic world’s most-iconic characters.
Lili Reinhart Goes Full Shrek In Bikini
Posting for her 29 million followers ahead of the weekend, the blonde sent out a stunning and windswept balcony snap, posing in a glittery, thin-strapped bikini and highlighting her rock-hard abs as she wrote: “Yes to Shrek-colored bikinis.”
Looking like a doll with a swept-up bun and loose strands blowing in the breeze, the “Hustlers” star also peeped her famous tattoos, with the photo showing her near a wall sconce and by wrought-iron railings as she took in the fresh air. Gently clinging onto her bikini bottoms as she flaunted both curves and muscle, the star also tagged Up Next Designer.
The snap comes as Lili admits that she’s struggled with body-image. Speaking to Du Jour, the actress revealed:
"“Abs are made in the kitchen, and I had Dairy Queen and chicken parm last night. And that’s okay. I’m learning to accept that in myself.”"
“I’m not a fitness model. I’m never going to be able to maintain that. I’m not going to not eat the ice cream,” she added.
In fact, the 24-year-old even went as far as to reveal the cruel comments she’s received from trolls on social media.
“It’s not amazing to see someone on Instagram calling me fat, but people are never going to stop body-shaming. It’s a matter of what I can do to make myself feel better about that. My body is a journey that I have with myself.”
Lili, also known for 2020 movie “Chemical Hearts” and her 2019 appearance in “Charlie’s Angels,” has since updated with a greenery nature shot and while in cut-off overalls as she confirmed being in a good place. She told fans: “I like this picture because I look happy.” Click here for the bikini snap.
The happiness hasn’t always been gauranteed, though, with Lili opening up to Glamour as she detailed battling mental health issues.
“I have spells of time where I feel completely unmotivated, I don’t want to do anything and I question myself,” she said. “I don’t know how to handle stress very well. I find that talking about it and sharing my experience with other people, and reminding myself that I’m not alone has been incredibly therapeutic.”
