Kelsea Ballerini ‘caught off guard’ in hot dog chomp
Kelsea Ballerini was today brave enough to post unposed photos of herself chowing down on a hot dog while backstage. The 27-year-old country singer, fresh from showing off her French fries appetite in a massive post including bikini action, was back to food on Saturday, with photos on her Instagram shouting out her love of hot dogs.
Kelsea, making 2020 headlines for confirming her Chick-Fil-A dates are a “weekly” deal, shared her appetite and her cute smile with her 2.5 million followers. She also quickly proved Little Miss Popular in the comments section.

Scroll for the photos. If you don’t live inside Kelsea’s Instagram, the “Hole In The Bottle” hit-maker kicked off the pandemic by doing push-ups in her kitchen – while using a jar of chip dip to dunk a mouth-held tortilla chip in and out of the dip. The fried chicken lover, married to a vegetarian, made her Saturday post a “caught off guard” one, with the photos showing her seated in a sleeveless top and big-time enjoying a hot dog in a bun.
Holding a paper takeout container in one hand, a hot dog in another and smiling with her mouth full, Kelsea wrote:
"“General update: @catherinepowell catching me off guard while eating a hot dog side stage is now the energy i will be channeling through the end of the year. thank you. 🌭”"
Quick to reply was a fan writing: “Kelsea Ballerini is posting an Instagram with a hot dog again. Nature is healing.”
Kelsea, known for rolling around her bed with cookie dough while listening to her own music, has admitted to her weight going up and down in quarantine. She’s also opened up on growing up with frozen convenience foods – it was a big change after the blonde married husband Morgan Evans.
Speaking to Shape this year as she stunned in multiple bikini looks and showed off her super-fit body, Kelsea said:
“I was never a cook. I was never home, so I never cared to. But I fell in love with it this past year. My husband, who’s from Australia, is a vegetarian. I grew up on chicken nuggets and waffles, so trying to match that was really interesting.”
Ballerini, who goes 80/20 with her approach, added: “We cook a lot of lentil Bolognese, or we’ll do Mexican bowls with tempeh instead of chorizo. I’ve found a good groove with healthy meatless alternatives for some of our favorite stuff, which is fun. When we go out, I’ll get my fix of whatever I’m craving.”
