Kelly Ripa brags about ‘dancer’ body in leggy street-walk
Kelly Ripa isn’t letting the world forget that she trained as a ballerina. The 50-year-old “Live!” host was all legs and steely-strong muscles in a street throwback shared to her Instagram, one taking fans back to 2009 but not showing much difference compared to today. Kelly, who has been known to slip back into her ballet dancer pointe shoes on social media, was in high heels here, and her mini brag came welcomed as she joked about “whoever took this.”
Kelly Ripa Reminds Fans Of ‘Dancer’ Figure
The photo, below, came as a paparazzi one, with Kelly wearing the leggiest of tiny shorts as she strutted around in shades, a white jacket, plus a sky-high pair of stilettos. The mom of three, whose daily workouts are now a thing on her Insta and recently marked an end to 14 months of video-streamed training, was clutching her belongings and a water bottle as she sauntered down a street, with the photo very much showcasing those famous pins.
Taking to her caption, Kelly had written: “#tbt 2009 whoever took this, thank you. I almost forgot. #dance #dancer.”
The post, gaining likes from 58-year-old Bravo star Lisa Rinna and 50-year-old husband Mark Consuelosl, brought in over 1,300 fan comments. “Fabulous legs,” one follower wrote, with another writing: “Once a dancer, always a dancer!”
Kelly had made ballet headlines in 2019 as she geared up to break a Guinness World Record – one she and members of the New York City Ballet broke. The aim was to get as many ballerinas en pointe at the same time as was physically possible. Kelly aced it, with practice runs of the star on her toes shared with her 2.9 million Instagram followers.
Kelly might no longer be at the barre in her legwarmers, but she has detailed exactly how she keeps her pint-sized body in tip-top shape. The bubbly blonde opened up to The Cut in 2019, revealing:
“I like to take AKT — which is cardio-based dance classes — about four to five days a week between 3 and 5 p.m. And I like to do SoulCycle on the weekends. In the summer, I like to run in Central Park because I think it’s so gorgeous.”
Kelly even joked that her body is a “Peter Pan” one, no matter what she does. Quarantine brought it all out, though, as Kelly squatted from the bedroom of her $27 million NYC townhouse, even throwing in dumbbells. She joked that her bedroom had become her “gym.”
