Maria Menounos is quite literally flaunting her giant cucumbers and celebrating her Greek heritage all at once. The 43-year-old media personality and 2021 Live! With Kelly and Ryan fill-in is fresh from an Instagram post celebrating growing your own vegetables, with photos definitely showing that home-grown is best.

Posting early in Tuesday morning, the former E! News face updated with kitchen-set photos featuring dad Constantinos Menounos, tons of massive cucumbers and an upbeat caption asking fans to share their “love of gardens.” See it below.

Maria Menounos Is All Cucumbers

Scroll for the photos. They come as Maria continues to mourn the loss of mom Litsa – earlier this year, Maria tragically said goodbye to her mom following a long battle against both brain cancer and COVID.

The post opened with Maria’s dad all smiles and in front of a granite speck counter filled with rows of cucumbers, peppers, tomatoes and other vegetables. Wearing a white American Eagle tee, he held up a huge cucumber with pride – a swipe right, meanwhile, showcased the full array from Maria’s garden harvest, with the final image showing the cute white picket-fenced enclosure where everything is grown.

“Cucumber anyone?” the caption amusingly opened.

“Even in Medford, MA we always had a garden. That’s just what Greeks do! 😊 this garden here in ct is quite large and my dad loooves it! Kale, tomatoes, cucumbers, all kinds of lettuce and spices, potatoes, garlic, eggplants -you name it -dad grows it!” Maria continued.

The fashionista even likened not having a garden to not having a pet – basically, you don’t know what you’re missing. Calling growing your own vegetables “the best,” the Dunkin’ Donuts face suggested basil as a starting point, largely because it’s so easy. In fact, she offered making your own pesto as the result.

“Side note,” Maria added: “I love my dad so much. How cute is he???”

Fans seem to know their Greeks, with one writing that it’s “so true about Greeks and gardening.” Others, meanwhile, actually replied in Greek. Menounos, who knows a thing or two about nutrition, made 2014 headlines for dropping 40 pounds, even publishing a book about her weight loss.

Back in May, the star had even peeped her lunch in an outdoor Instagram post, one seeing her seated at a wooden table and with a healthy greens lunch of boxed takeout salad.

A little less about the home-grown veg (and more about the fast-food donuts) has been Maria’s 2021 sign-up with donut giant Dunkin’ Donuts. Menounos, who is a former Dunkin’ employee, has been helping the popular snack chain in its recent recruitment drive.
