By Cody Schultz
Ever since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle decided to walk away from the royal family, things between Harry and his family haven’t exactly been easiest. Harry’s relationships with his family members have been strained in recent months with his relationship with his father, Prince Charles, taking a particularly icy turn.
After the couple’s controversial Oprah interview, Charles was said to have been left feeling disappointed in his son and daughter-in-law. After reportedly not speaking, Harry caught up briefly when he returned to the UK for his Prince Philip’s funeral, but it seems the two are far from on good terms.
Prince Charles not a fan of Prince Harry throwing shade at him
While Harry did make his way back to the UK, his return was driven by his desire to pay his respects to his late grandfather and to be there for Queen Elizabeth.
According to OK!, Harry and Charles did not resolve their differences with the wedge between the father and son only seems to be getting bigger with Harry’s recent comments about the family only managing to cause the rift to grow further.
After the interview with Oprah in which Harry and Meghan Markle, sources told Us Weekly that Charles was said to be enraged about “Harry throwing shade at him and the royal family.” Moreso, Charles was not at all a fan of how Harry was “trashing his whole family in public.”
Prince Charles doesn’t think Prince Harry is worthy of being a royal
Not only is Prince Charles not a fan of Harry and Meghan publically speaking out against the royal family in the media, but it seems he no longer views Harry as being worthy of his royal title.
As a royal insider told Us Weekly, “After the damage Harry has caused the family, he firmly believes that his son doesn’t deserve the privilege of being a royal.”
Clearly, Harry and Charles have a lot to work through, but it’s looking more and more likely that we’re not going to see the pair making amends anytime soon.
