Bethenny Frankel has fans worried about her weight. The 50-year-old reality star and founder of Skinnygirls cocktails is fresh from confidently showing off her bikini body in a poolside snap on Instagram, where her travels to Portofino, Italy afforded fine ocean views and the hotel setup definitely screamed “fancy.”
Posting for her 2.3 million followers, the Bravo face went colorful and post-swim as she posed soaking wet, with the photo taking no time to go viral. The Daily Mail has covered the update, one bringing Frankel in a floral-accent bathing suit, and it’s here that fans of the former The Real Housewives of New York City fans seemed to raise the alarm. Quite simply, they think she’s too skinny.
Bethenny Frankel Drops New Swim Shot
See the photo below. Bethenny, who is having the last laugh overall as she lands her own show on HBO Max – watch out for The Big Shot with Bethenny – posed solo and by a luxurious infinity pool, one overlooking a wrought iron balcony, parasols and loungers, plus the sweet Italian views the star’s travels include.
Posing showing off her super-fit body, the entrepreneur flaunted her toned legs and back while dripping wet, also wearing funky cat-eye shades, a chunky gold watch and peeping a mani-pedi.
“When I dip, you dip, we dip. Who wants to jump in with me?” she wrote, adding hashtags of #nofilter, #thisis50 and #italytrip.
While likes were plentiful on Bethenny’s Instagram and she even snagged one from 50-year-old Kelly Ripa, it was a different story in the press report. Here, users were repeatedly singling the star out for her weight and seeming to have trolling hats on.
The leading comment called Frankel both “scrawny” and “starved,” with a separate user harshly throwing out the “skeleton” word. They then suggested she needs “help.” One fan said Bethenny needed to “eat some pies” – another raised eyebrows at a look they claimed to be “ultra skinny.”
Addressing Her Weight
Bethenny has made headlines for speaking out over her weight, doing so in 2015 and seemingly in the mood to clap back at the haters.
“I don’t know. Do I look bad? Do I look like I need to eat a burger?” she asked herself, continuing: “YES. Or 5. Maybe 10. Or maybe just eat more then 3 bites of a burger, and eat burgers consistently. Turkey burgers – or black bean burgers or quinoa burgers if you want to be healthy – any burgers! With the bread. And cheese. Now I’m hungry. I need to eat a burger.”
Bethenny further faced controversy for bringing in her low-calorie beverage brand into the equation, adding: “I do have a brand called Skinnygirl.”
