Kelly Ripa delights with 4th july pool party

Kelly Ripa is getting all kinds of thumbs-up as a very special episode of Live! With Kelly and Ryan celebrates the 4th of July. The 50-year-old talk show queen had already made Independence Day headlines on Sunday as a digitially-edited video showed her toasting marshmallows while poolside and joined by co-host Ryan Seacrest – the 46-year-old American Idol face was today back with his trusty side-kick, also resuming the poolside setting.

Viewers of the syndicated talk show today got Kelly and Ryan bringing the pool party action right to the set, although the fan yesterday moaning about Photoshop may have had a point – the studio appeared to have fashioned the all-American backyard setup via props.

Kelly Ripa Sends Out Stars & Stripes

Scroll for the video. Kelly and Ryan were both looking patriotic and definitely shouting out the U.S. of A in their red, blue, and white outfits. Former sitcom star Kelly highlighted her super-slim figure in a swathing maxi skirt, with a stars ‘n stripes sweater shouting out the 4th. Ryan, meanwhile, went dapper in dark pants and a similarly celebratory shirt.

The set’s setup, bringing cozy backyard chairs, a fake fire pit, plus the enviable outdoor pool and parasols backdrop, also included 2021-debuted announcer Deja Vu – she was busy on the decks as the crew was seen applauding the show’s famous hosts.

“Monday July 5th. It is our stars and stripes CELEBRATION!” Ryan was heard saying. Former dancer Kelly even busted out some moves in her high heels. A caption from the show, meanwhile, alerted fans to the special, reading: “Tune in now for our special Stars and Stripes Celebration show!” More photos after the video.

Big Fan Love

Kelly and Ryan, now the most-watched morning TV duo in America, were sent major love by fans. “Happy 4th of July! Love you guys,” one wrote. Kelly did, however, remain quiet on Instagram over Independence Day, posting neither a permanent update nor a story. The mom of three’s last post came as a headline-making swimsuit piggyback, one seeing her hopping on her dad Joe Ripa‘s back to wish him a happy birthday.

Ryan did post for the 4th. He wrote: “Salute to the Stars and Stripes. Happy Fourth!” as he shared an old family photo, one featuring the U.S. flag. Celebrity Instagram is a small world – Kelly’s 1996-married husband Mark Consuelos left Ryan a like.
