After several days of messy drama surrounding the Real Housewives of Dallas, particularly the racially charged and targeted harassment from Kameron Westcott and her family members toward newcomer Tiffany Moon, Bravo has finally come forward and released a statement in support of Moon.

Per the statement, Bravo directly referenced a tweet that has since been deleted by Kameron’s husband, Court Westcott. In the tweet shared by Court, which you can read at Variety, he claims that “anti-racism is

Court Westcott, who has since deactivated his Twitter account, decried the concept of “anti-racism” as racist in itself and then made comparisons to philosophies from World War II Germany.

“I don’t understand how many of your patients would be comfortable with you treating them with your open vile racism,” he wrote.

Bravo said they were standing in support of the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) community and that “anti-racism is, in fact, not a form of racism.” They said they stood in support of Moon and “her advocacy against racism and violence.”

While Bravo’s statement is a step (a baby step), many fans and members of the AAPI community feel that it’s not enough. It was met with criticism for its lack of specificity. The fact they haven’t publically denounced the Westcotts by name is unsettling, especially considering the repeated racism that has come from RHOD during its five-season run. Between LeeAnne Locken, Brandi Redmond and Kameron Westcott, when is enough, enough?

Tiffany Moon has consulted with a lawyer about the Westcott’s defamatory comments

Not only did Court and Kameron’s brother-in-law Chart Westcott make comments about Moon as a person, but they also tagged her workplace in tweets and alluded to her mistreating her patients with several defamatory tweets.

Moon has now lawyered up in a statement obtained exclusively from Variety, her attorney, Andrew Brettler of Lavely and Singer, says:

"The insinuations the Westcotts made in those tweets are reckless, defamatory and appalling. Dr. Moon is a professional in every sense of the word and is deserving of the excellent reputation that she’s earned as a physician and as a hard working mother. These attacks on her character will not be tolerated. The Westcotts would be well advised to keep mentions of Dr. Moon out of their social media feeds."

None of the Westcotts have returned requests for comments as of yet.
