RHOD: The ladies channel the ’80s at the Southfork Ranch

Last night’s episode of RHOD saw the ladies of Dallas representing the ’80s at the famous Southfork Ranch (you know, the place made famous by the Ewing family on the prime-time soap).

Overall, the latest episode of RHOD felt more like a filler than anything else. It was basically a way to bridge last week’s episode with next week’s finale. The RHOD Season 5 finale has been discussed heavily for weeks now, especially because it turned out that the rumors about Kary and Brandi filming virtually due to Kary contracting COVID-19 are true.

Plus, it looks like in the finale episode, the ladies are finally going to address some of Kary’s more glaring issues, namely the fact she appears to have a drinking problem. If not a problem, then she just gets way too rowdy and destructive whenever she drinks and we’ve already seen a few examples of that in this season alone.

RHOD: The women are tasked with solving a murder mystery

But the bulk of RHOD Season 5, Episode 15 was about the women preparing for their weekend stay at the Southfork Ranch, including a fittingly Dallas-themed opening credits sequence.

Brandi is the one who threw this little shindig together and now that we know she’s got a baby, did anyone else find it impossible to not notice how she’s been hiding her belly all season?

As soon as the ladies arrive at the ranch, they’re assigned their rooms. For some reason, Brandi decided to make Tiffany sleep with her Stephanie, you’d think there were enough beds for them to not have to sleep three to a room, but whatever. Kam has her own adorable bedroom (although Jennifer is there too so she might be bunking with Kam) and D’Andra and Kary are sharing the tiniest room in the ranch house because Brandi thought it would be funny to see that play out.

In the final moments of the episode, the ladies are all decked out in their ’80s gear and looking plenty glam even though not all of them were old enough to remember the ’80s and some don’t even know what Dallas is.  Just as the dinner gets underway the lights go out and the murder mystery game is afoot!

The Season 5 finale of RHOD premieres next Tuesday on Bravo.
