Unfortunately, it looks like those Real Housewives of Nashville rumors are staying rumors for now. According to a new People exclusive, Jana Kramer recently shut down the whisperings that she and several other notable Nashville stars were filming a new Bravo reality show.

That said, Kramer said they were working on something, so it’s understandable why people jumped to the Real Housewives of Nashville conclusion.

People received a sneak peek of the upcoming episode of Kramer and her husband Michael Caussin’s podcast Whine Down, which premieres today. In it, the One Tree Hill star claimed she had been asked to film for the Real Housewives on three separate occasions but always turned them down.

Most fans know by now that Kramer was seriously considering joining the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills as a “friend” was because she was pals with Teddi Mellencamp Arryoave. Kramer said, “the only reason” she “entertained” the idea of joining the Beverly Hills chapter is “because it could be fun to be someone’s sidekick, fun buddy that just kind of comes in.”

Real Housewives of Nashville was in the planning stages at some point

However, even though Kramer is not interested in joining the Real Housewives, she claims that at one point, Bravo was trying to cast the Real Housewives of Nashville. But it’s not clear if they still are or if the show is dead in the dirt.

“When they were trying to cast ‘The Real Housewives of Nashville’ and they were interested in me as one of the characters I was just like ‘No.’ I don’t like girl drama, I don’t want to be a part of it, I don’t want to feed into it … It’s not me, I don’t like it,” said the 37-year-old.

Kramer isn’t saying “no” to all reality television

Even though Kramer isn’t interested in the Real Housewives franchise, she said that she and her husband had filmed a “presentation for their own show.” So, she’s clearly not opposed to all reality television, just some of it.

The star claimed that many people have asked the couple to make a reality series and they’re considering looking into doing just that.

"“So we did film something and, you know, it’s just a presentation I don’t know if it will ever get picked up, and again I don’t even know if it’s something that at the end of the day if we will really do, because I know we share so much on the podcast and so much here but sometimes it’s the kiss of death. So that’s something that we have to also think about and be careful of because it’s scary.”"

One of her main concerns is that if she and her husband shared a fight on television, she wouldn’t like the way producers edited it. It’s different than sharing it on their podcast.

You can listen to new episodes of Kramer’s podcast Sundays on iHeartRadio.
