RHOC star Emily Simpson recently took to Instagram to share a few sweet photographs of her and her husband Shane hanging out in Nashville on a recent vacation. But several fans soon pointed out that there wasn’t a single mask in sight, despite the fact we’re still very much in a pandemic.

Perhaps Emily is taking some pointers from her RHOC co-star Kelly Dodd, who has consistently provided controversial takes about COVID-19, masks, vaccines –– you name it, since all of this began last year.

It sounded like Emily and her husband had a great time, but it was hard to ignore the glaring omission of masks on the pair and many of the surrounding visitors.

One person slammed Emily for going maskless and per All About Real Housewives, her response was, “then you can stay home… easy peasy.”

As you can imagine, that didn’t go over well with her followers who didn’t appreciate her glib and thoughtless answer.

Emily spent most of RHOC Season 15 stressing about her husband’s COVID-19 diagnosis

Perhaps if this was Kelly or another housewife, people would just roll their eyes and move on, but it sounds particularly ugly coming from Emily considering she spent a significant chunk of RHOC Season 15 crying and stressing out about Shane getting sick!

Emily was terrified that Shane could die from the virus, and yet here she is walking through Nashville as if nothing happened. You’d think she’d know better, especially since she is also a lawyer!

However, not everyone thought Emily was in the wrong, a few people came to her defense claiming that the “mask police” needed to back off and there wasn’t anything wrong with living your life “without fear.”
