RHOC: Braunwyn Windham-Burke reportedly back on the market after split from girlfriend Kris

Braunwyn Windham-Burke and girlfriend Kris have reportedly split and the Real Housewives of Orange County star is rumored to be back on the market, at least according to an exclusive from People.

A source told People that Kris had broken up with Kris more than one month ago because the two were at “very different places in their lives and Kris wanted more of a commitment than Braunwyn was able to give.”

That’s not too surprising considering the last we checked Braunwyn is still married to her husband of more than 20 years, Sean Burke. Together they share seven children of varying ages.

Despite Braunwyn and Kris splitting up, the source suggests that the two are “still friendly” and that “each want the best for the other.”

What do we know about Braunwyn Windham-Burke and Kris?

Braunwyn officially introduced fans to Kris a little over four months ago when the RHOC star came out during a interview with GLAAD. She said she was gay and a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community.

As a bisexual woman myself, I think it’s amazing, in theory, to have a gay housewife. But I’m not sure how great the representation is when it’s Braunwyn, someone who has admitted to physically abusing her husband on camera. Much of Braunwyn’s story is confusing, actually. But I digress.

At one point it seemed like Braunwyn would be bringing Kris on the show, as she teased it once on her Instagram stories in response to a fan question. On the same day the Bravo star came out publicly, she shared a selfie of herself with Kris with a rainbow flag and pink heart emoji.

At the time, the source said Kris was a “great support to Braunwyn” especially amid her sobriety journey. She celebrated one year of sobriety in January and the pair were last photographed together in February, per People.

If Braunwyn is officially back on the market (is that a thing if you’re still married? Neither Braunwyn nor Sean has really confirmed if their marriage is “open” and neither seemed too sure about it on the reunion), I’m guessing we’re going to see a lot more relationship drama between Braunwyn, Sean and whoever she’s dating on the next season. If she’s on it.
