RHOD: We’re going to see something ‘we’ve never seen’ at the Season 5 reunion

After self-proclaimed “Housewives scholar” Dave Quinn tweeted that we were going to see something we had never seen before at the upcoming Real Housewives of Dallas Season 5 reunion, the internet lit up with rumors of what might go down at the event.

Rumors have spread from an on-air walkout/firing to the show being canceled to a potential appearance by Cary Deuber, but what is the truth?

Based on our research on Twitter, Reddit and some of the other Real Housewives news blogs, it sounds like the most substantiated report is that Kary Brittingham test positive for COVID-19 and might have sat near Brandi Redmond on the plane to New York where they’re filming.

If that’s true, then Kary, and potentially Brandi, too, might be filming the reunion virtually –– which would be something we’ve “never seen” before.

Rumor has it, two wives might film the Real Housewives of Dallas Season 5 reunion virtually

Fans have been going crazy since Quinn’s tweet and as Reality Blurb noted, most people immediately assumed the cryptic message had something to do with Brandi. Brandi has been in hot water all season long since her racist video controversy and continued weirdness with newcomer Tiffany Moon (the show’s breakout newcomer).

A few weeks ago, Brandi shared an Instagram post that seemed to allege Real Housewives of Dallas Season 5 would be her last. So some people wondered if the crazy reunion twist would be Brandi getting fired by Andy Cohen on-air. That doesn’t seem likely, especially because Andy isn’t exactly known for holding any housewife’s feet to the fire over their mistakes.

Reality Blurb quoted a note from the Bravo Guru Instagram account saying:

"“It’s being reported by multiple sources that Kary Brittingham ALLEGEDLY tested positive for COVID-19 and she had to film the reunion from her hotel room via a live feed. Most are concerned about Brandi as she travelled with her newborn to New York while sitting next to Kary on the plane.”"

Note that all of this is still unconfirmed despite these accounts alleging the information comes from “credible” sources, but we’ll likely find out for sure in the coming weeks.

If it is true, then Kary is probably going to get even more backlash since many people have already been frustrated with the housewife this season due to her bullying. She also didn’t win herself any new fans in the latest episode where she repeatedly humiliated Stephanie’s guest, a Bigfoot hunter named Charles, on the ladies’ trip to Oklahoma.

Additional rumors claim that D’Andra will be one to watch at the reunion.
