RHONJ: Do you believe that Melissa & Joe Gorga’s latest fight is real?

Tonight’s episode of RHONJ, Season 11, Episode 8, “Memorial Mayhem,” features the latest fake Melissa and Joe Gorga storyline!

The hour starts with the group going out to dinner with the ladies at one table and the men at another due to COVID restrictions. But things don’t take long to go sideways as Melissa and Joe start making snippy remarks at each other.

Apparently, Joe is still bothered by the Lake George prank. Theresa alludes to something more going on in their marriage that might be bothering him to the point he thinks she often flirts.

Then the fight starts to go on about how Melissa works too much and it botehrs Joe’s “old-school” mentality. Melissa calls him “high f—ing maintenance”  and on the way home claims he’s “spoiled.” Joe tells her that she better “be careful” what she says or he’ll never speak to her again.

RHONJ: Joe plays the victim role yet again

We’ve seen this fight in the past between Melissa and Joe as he wasn’t over the moon when she first got involved with her Envy boutique, but none of it rings true.

Jennifer Aydin 100% had a point when she called Melissa out for her fake storylines. This all feels very forced. Do I think Melissa and Joe have marital problems? Sure, everyone does. But this little fight seemingly comes from nowhere.

According to Joe, he liked their marriage back in the day because it reminded him of his parents’ marriage, which he thought was perfect and special.

Overall, this hour of television has a weird mom-shaming undertone, with Margaret Josephs taking some pointed digs at Jennifer (again) for being a stay-at-home mother to her kids while Bill works. But we’ll get into that in a different article.

RHONJ: A realtor named Gisele blows up Joe’s phone

Just kidding! Joe decided to get some revenge against Melissa after the Lake George prank because of course he does. So he and the guys team up to reprogram Frank’s number into his phone as some random realtor woman named Gisele. Then Frank calls Joe repeatedly to make Melissa suspicious of why his phone keeps ringing.

Just before she can freak out, Melissa puts two and two together and realizes that the men are pranking her. They all have a good laugh about it and Joe thinks that Melissa’s brief jealous reaction proves she still has “fire” for him.
