Is being a completely polarizing character what Jen Shah is going for now that The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City has wrapped?  It seems that way.  Earlier this week, Jen got on Instagram live with her husband, Sharrieff Shah, and it didn’t go very well.  Jen has since sort of apologized for her comments, but the apology came off insincere.

Jen claimed that the other women on the cast, Whitney Rose, Meredith Marks, Heather Gay, made the situation about race and compared it to having a knee on her neck as the police did to George Floyd.  To be clear, she’s comparing Heather and Whitney yelling at her to the death of George Floyd.  She’s also comparing having Meredith leave the table during dinner to the death of George Floyd.  They all sat down in Las Vegas and held Jen accountable for her actions, and Jen pretended she had no idea what was happening.

Jen’s behavior is entirely out of control.  She had her finger in Whitney’s face telling her to “shut the [expletive] up” before she went to knock something out of Heather’s hand as she stormed out of the room.  “I need to know…Who are my friends?”  Jen asked Heather the following day.

After Jen received backlash from her comments, she doubled down on her behavior.  “To anyone out there that somehow thought that I was comparing my experience and my family’s experience to George Floyd.  I’m sorry that you thought that, but I’m here to tell you that is incorrect,” she said to fans.

It is hard to think that people would assume anything else based on what she said.  It does seem that Jen is out of touch with reality a bit.  Her reaction to the backlash over her story is similar to how she reacted in Vegas.  She did compare the two situations and is now insinuating that fans did not understand her correctly.

It seems that Jen’s motto is “deny, deny, deny,” and she isn’t getting very far with that.  Unfortunately, Jen might have gone too far this season and she isn’t backing down now either.  Will she get a contract renewal for season two?  To be determined!
