RHOC: Braunwyn Windham-Burke on Sean Burke dating others

RHOC’s Braunwyn Windham-Burke doesn’t want Sean Burke dating other people, but she also understands how hypocritical that sounds.

Braunwyn Windham-Burke was on Instagram live the other day with Sean Burke when she did an interesting Q & A session with fans.  It was a casual conversation but provided a bit of clarity through their murky marriage.  The Real Housewives of Orange County star was asked how she would feel if Sean fell in love with someone else.  Would she be okay with him starting a new relationship?  Braunwyn responded that she would be heartbroken if Sean moved on.

Another fan asked if Sean was going to date other people.  Since we know Braunwyn has a girlfriend and is in a new relationship, it only seems fair?  Sean replied, “I don’t know.  Probably?”  Braunwyn’s reply was that it was hard to date during a pandemic, but she’s managed it just fine.  She and her girlfriend, Kris, were caught galavanting on the beach together not that long ago!  

When Sean was asked if he was hurt that Braunwyn was dating someone else, he confirmed that it did suck.  He noted that they were doing their best to figure it out, but it was a complicated issue to wrap their minds around.  Braunwyn remarked that she knew it was hypocritical to not want Sean to date while she has a girlfriend of her own, but that’s the deal.  They are in therapy together, and on their own, to try and work through these things.

A lot of fans find Braunwyn inauthentic and attention-seeking, but it is nice to see someone be so open about their lives.  If you have a question for her, she’ll likely answer it honestly if you can get it in front of her.  Sean definitely deserves the freedom to date other people though, even if it does bring their marriage to an end.  Braunwyn has already said she isn’t attracted to him any longer.  How hard is all of this for Sean?  Probably impossible to navigate, therapy or no therapy.

One thing we know for sure is that Sean is a major source of strength for Braunwyn in her recovery.  It seems he is putting her needs above all else, especially over his needs, in order to support her through the process.  That’s a pretty selfless act for anyone and we commend him for it.
