Why is Bravo so intent on protecting people like Gizelle Bryant and Candiace Dillard Bassett, but throws the rest of them under the bus?
The word on the street is that Gizelle Bryant had quite the meltdown at the Real Housewives of Potomac reunion but it was all edited out. The first part of the reunion focused on Gizelle and her relationship with Jamal Bryant, but then she was largely not a part of the drama. Monique Samuels had a whole section of her shady binder dedicated to Gizelle and Jamal and apparently, things got heated when Chris Samuels came out on stage.
Monique’s binder revealed that Jamal had been speaking with other women and she brought the receipts. Jamal went on Instagram live a few days later and claimed he was not cheating on Gizelle because they were never in a relationship. What? Did anyone tell Gizelle that?
Either way, it was suggested that Bravo likes to protect Gizelle for some reason and that clearly did not apply to Monique. Andy Cohen did not give Monique anything but straight up attitude at the reunion, even completely ignoring the fact that the footage agreed with her statements. Since the reunion aired, Andy has received a lot of heat for his blind support of Candiace Dillard Bassett and Ashley Darby, while hammering down on people like Monique.
Is there some sort of course you can take to become a favorite of Andy? Why is his treatment of people so different across the board? It should be obvious that someone in a moderation position such as Andy should be more impartial to everyone, instead of protecting and covering up some families while tossing others under the proverbial bus.
Since we didn’t get to see the footage ourselves, it is likely we will never know all of the details. So much of the reunion focused on watching Candiace cry, but that seems like a waste of time for a three-part reunion. Is Gizelle just an important part of the franchise so they want to keep her around, or is there something more nefarious going on? Cue the dramatic music!
The Real Housewives of Potomac will be back next year.
