Now that Monique Samuels is leaving The Real Housewives of Potomac, the dynamic between Karen Huger and the group is going to be interesting.

Monique Samuels decided to leave The Real Housewives of Potomac after her altercation with Candiace Dillard Bassett.  This leaves Gizelle Bryant, Robyn Dixon, and Wendy Osefo, Ashley Darby and Karen Huger left.  It was clear that Monique and Ashley had an alliance that the rest of the group did not appreciate, but Karen’s lack of team seemed to alarm the group even more.

Candiace explained that she contacted Karen about Monique and Chris Samuels and Karen turned around and went to Bravo.  “You told me to burn and go to eternal hell,” Karen said.  Candiace claims Karen was blaming the fight and all of the drama on Gizelle and Robyn, and in turn, was trying to get her fired from the show.

Karen’s storyline this season was mostly about her marriage with Ray Huger, but they seem to be doing better now.  Are the other women going to choose Karen as their target for next season since she did not support Candiace?  We hope not, for the show’s sake.  Karen might not have been team Candiace, but we appreciate her ability to remain impartial.  It doesn’t seem like she actually tried to get Candiace and Karen fired, but that remains to be determined.

Since Ashley was the only one actually on team Monique, she might have a hard time with the ladies next season as well.  She will be a new mom again soon and will probably do her best meddling while pumping, as usual.

Karen is hilarious, slightly messy, a little shady, and has questionable fashions, but generally, Karen is an enjoyable housewife to watch.  Her storyline with Ray is one of the more legitimate ones, so we hope we can continue to watch her grow.

Karen Huger & The Real Housewives of Potomac will be back next Sunday at 9 PM.
