Gizelle Bryant defended her relationship with Jamal Bryant on The Real Housewives of Potomac, but Jamal doesn’t seem to be returning the favor.

It has been an interesting week for Gizelle Bryant from The Real Housewives of Potomac after Monique Samuels brought out her binder to comment on her relationship.  Jamal is the Senior Pastor of New Birth Church, which is only slightly ironic given the fact that he is accused of having a lot of children out of wedlock (which he denies).  Jamal took to his Instagram page to do a live video and answer some questions, but he did not save the video, unfortunately.

One of the first things he commented on was the relationship with his daughters, Adore, Grace, and Angel.  On the show, it did come off that the girls were not thrilled to have their mom and dad back in a relationship.  Jamal noted that they were upset about a specific instance during filming but wear his church’s shirts to school and watch him when he preaches on Sundays.

Jamal went on to say that he was dating someone in New York since he is technically single (i.e. not married?), but he can’t have an affair if he isn’t married or engaged.  He offers text messages to prove that he declined her invitation to visit him in Atlanta.  It seems like he isn’t interested in being in a relationship with Gizelle, which is obviously what she has wanted the entire time.

He continued to talk about the mystery woman who he claims sent all of this “tea” to Bravo producers and the entire cast of The Real Housewives of Potomac, except for Gizelle, under the guise of “empowering women.”  He accused her of chasing clout and said that if he really wanted to empower women, she would have sent it to Gizelle.

At one point, Jamal concluded that Chris Samuels is a loose cannon due to his Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE), which is a traumatic brain injury common in football players.  Jamal commented that Monique lived in a house with someone with an anger problem, and was taking it out on others.   Jamal seems to be using every tactic in the book to defend himself, but it really seems like he is just avoiding taking responsibility for his own actions.

At the reunion, Gizelle almost looked stunned at the information that came out of Monique’s binder, but after watching this, I’m not sure where to land.  “You will never see me on The Real Housewives of Potomac again. It has been a gross misrepresentation of my character, my ministry,” and he continued to read his notes in the Instagram live.  What will next Sunday bring?

Gizelle Bryant & The Real Housewives of Potomac will be back next Sunday at 9 PM.
