Cynthia Bailey has filed a lawsuit against her ex, Peter Thomas, after a venture filmed for Real Housewives of Atlanta fell through.

Cynthia Bailey has apparently filed a lawsuit against her ex-husband, Peter Thomas, over a situation with Bar One Atlanta according to Reality Blurb.  In past Real Housewives of Atlanta seasons, you might remember that The Bailey Agency and Bar One were in the same building at one point.  Apparently, Pete says he paid the landlord throughout their time there but the landlord did not pay the mortgage.

At one point while they were together, Cynthia became a partner for the venture.  When Peter had to move the location again, they planned to build it out and reopen it, but that never happened.  Peter allegedly opened a similar space in Charlotte but shut that down due to issues with taxes to the tune of $237,000, according to Bravo.  Cynthia says she is owed $170,000 for the project that never came to fruition and is suing for that amount.

Peter doesn’t have to pay up until Jan. 2021, but Cynthia filed this suit back in Sept. to get the ball rolling.  It isn’t clear if this is meant to be part of her storyline for The Real Housewives of Atlanta season 13 or not, but that would probably be more interesting than her wedding.  Bravo was set to film the large event but when inclement weather pushed the 200+ person wedding indoors, they understandably bailed.

Bar One’s Instagram page hasn’t been updated since 2015 when they said it would be re-opening.  Back in Jan. of 2020, Pete again said he would be re-opening the bar in a different location, according to Bravo.  The Instagram post announcing the news has since been deleted.  This wasn’t exactly a great year to be reviving bars either way, but perhaps it is time to put it to rest once and for all.

On a more positive note, The Bailey Agency seems to be actively recruiting, according to a model search on their Instagram page.  Get that money back, Cynthia!

The Real Housewives of Atlanta is back on Bravo starting Sunday, December 6 at 8/7c.
